Senior Services Can Help
It's a fact: we all age. In some cultures, elders are revered as the most highly respected social class. Age is considered accomplishment. Sadly, in the United States, this is not so. Most older Americans, if asked, will say that their biggest fear is that they will become a burden to their families.

Friends find New Life in Senior Housing

Trudy and Rachel moved into Volunteers of America's Senior Housing in Portland within a few months of each other. Rachel and her little dachshund mix have an apartment upstairs and Trudy's is downstairs on the other side of the building.

The York County Military Community Network will be helping the Department of Housing and Urban Development identify homeless individuals/families (Veterans and nonVeterans) to make sure that they are counted so that a fair-share of resources are sent to York County to assist them.
