You helped Joyce discover that aging has options

After Joyce’s husband died, she found she needed a safe, affordable place to live. Our Edward J. Reynolds House, a residence for low-income seniors in Belfast, Maine, fit the bill — offering an attractive one-bedroom apartment, a friendly community of neighbors, and a convenient setting near the downtown area.

Today, Joyce is a remarkable example of staying active and engaged. She swims at the local YMCA, creates beaded jewelry, paints in watercolor, takes care of her pet Pomeranian, goes to the flea market, attends seasonal Native American powwows, stays in touch on Facebook, and reads.  She has parachuted from an airplane, flown in a helicopter, ridden in a hot air balloon, and taken a midwinter ‘polar bear’ dip at Indian Island. You go, Joyce!
