Saco & Biddeford Savings Donates to Friendship Hill House
Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution a leader in community banking and proponent of providing support to the community they serve is giving back with a donation of $1,000 to Volunteer of America Northern New England’s Friendship Hill House on Wednesday, December 13th.
Volunteers of America Northern New England's Intensive Residential Treatment & Housing is a program for individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. This program has 9 apartments in Biddeford. Intensive Residential Treatment offers the skills and support needed by men and women who experience mental illness so that they may live as independently as possible in the community. The focus is to structure life in a way that best promotes growth and wellness in a home environment.
Clients are encouraged to cope with the challenges of everyday living with increased independence by developing daily living skills, obtaining education, and learning how to manage symptoms with an individual treatment plan.
The donation provided from Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution will aid in the renovation of the laundry room providing a comfortable place for residents.
