Automatic Doors to be installed at Peaks Island Health Center

Thanks to Maine Community Foundation and the Peaks Island Fund, electronic door openers will be installed at the Peaks Island Health Center adjacent to Fay Garman House on Peaks Island Thursday, Oct. 6. This is the culmination of a long time, much needed dream for the health center and island residents.
The Casco Bay Health Center is a non-profit corporation run by islanders to support the Peaks Island Health Center. According to the Peaks Island Health Center by-laws, its purpose is "to facilitate and support the delivery of health services on Peaks Island for island residents and visitors."
The Fay Garman House is one of eleven Volunteers of America affordable senior housing communities in Maine and Loudon, New Hampshire. For more information about our senior programs or any of our other programs, visit our website at www.voanne.org/senior-services
Volunteers of America NNE is a national, non-profit, spiritually based organization providing human service programs, and opportunities for individual / community involvement. Specific to Peaks Island, Volunteers of America NNE owns and manages the Fay Garman House...a HUD subsidized housing community for senior citizens 62 years or older.
