Volunteers of America Northern New England has received a $95,000 grant from Jane’s Trust in support of the Cabin in the Woods Veterans Housing program. This donation will furnish the living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens of 21 homes for veterans.

The Parish House: A Long Road with Many Partners
Bar Harbor, Maine: Local Solutions and Community Housing of Maine (CHOM) have partnered with Volunteers of America Northern New England to provide supportive permanent housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Local Solutions, a group of parents and concerned citizens from Mount Desert Island, began working in 2011 to create housing where people with special needs on Mount Desert Island would flourish.

On May 4, the Holland Family will Present a Generous Gift to Camp POSTCARD, in memory of son and brother "Little Tim" Holland
On Thursday May 4, at 10:00 AM, Tim Holland and Cherri Crockett (his daughter) will be in our office at Volunteers of America in Brunswick to present a donation to Camp POSTCARD for $2000. The money was raised through Tim's family's annual Ice Fishing Derby, benefitting Camp POSTCARD, in memory of Tim's son "Little Tim." (https://www.voanne.org/stories/little-tim)

TD Bank Awards $100,000 to Cabin in the Woods
Cabin in the Woods moves forward with assistance from TD Bank "Housing for Everyone" provides permanent supportive housing for homeless Veterans Brunswick, ME; December 15, 2016 - - Volunteers of America has been awarded a $100,000 grant from TD Bank, through the TD Charitable Foundation's Housing for Everyone initiative, in support of the Cabin in the Woods Veterans Housing program.

Peaks Island Fund makes automatic doors possible at the Peaks Island Health Center
Thanks to Maine Community Foundation and the Peaks Island Fund, electronic door openers will be installed at the Peaks Island Health Center adjacent to Fay Garman House on Peaks Island Thursday, Oct. 6. This is the culmination of a long time, much needed dream for the health center and island residents.
