Legislators Visit Veterans Career House

State RepresentativeRyan Fecteau of Biddeford, and State Representative Martin Grohman of Biddeford, along with Representative Stedman Seavey of Biddeford/Kennebunk and Lt. Col. (Retired) USAF Jennifer Fullmer of Biddeford all met at the Veteran's Career House on Thursday. Mike Merrill gave them a tour of the house and spoke about the program. The Representatives wanted to learn about the services we offer for veterans, and hear about details of Cabin In the Woods. They also wanted to find out how the lack of transportation affects the quality of veterans' lives. Merrill talked to them about our calls for volunteer drivers and monetary donations.

The hope is that advocacy around transportation problems might bring a bus to the house for veterans to use for employment.

It was a great session and they pledged their continued support at the legislative level as well as at the community level, and promised to spread the word about our needs and desires, and especially our good works!
