Helping America's Most Vulnerable

Portland, Maine: Brackett Street Program

An Environment for Safe Recovery

Brackett Street Program serves six adult men with substance abuse disorders and a history of involvement with the criminal justice system with 24-hour staffing on site, 365 days a year.

Clients are encouraged to cope with the challenges of everyday living with increased independence by developing daily living skills, obtaining education regarding mental illness and improving and learning how to manage symptoms with an individual treatment plan. Participants may stay for up to two years.

Brackett Street provides treatment in a safe home environment, and meets clients where they are, by supporting them through a non-linear program of recovery.
