Youth Action Team Advisory Board
Volunteers of America is seeking members for a new Youth Action Team Advisory Board. The Youth Action Team is a partnership with Major League Baseball Players Trust and is designed to get kids excited about volunteerism and community service. Currently, 15 high schools from around the state are involved in the program.
Advisory Board members are needed to assist the Program Director with public relations, outreach to the schools, sponsorship sales, marketing materials, and trainings. You must be passionate about the importance of volunteerism for youth.
Advisory Board Members can attend the annual Recognition Event at Fenway Park in May 2010, when Youth Action Team Captions enjoy a bus ride to Fenway, a chance to view of batting practice on the field, pre-game recognition ceremony and a Red Sox game.
All volunteers must attend an Orientation and pass a background check.
