    Building II of the Paul Hazelton House is a high quality, affordable housing community for low-income seniors in Saco, Maine.

The facility features 31, open-concept units, a community room that seats 60, a commercially equipped kitchen and a second floor activity and TV room. The community is named in honor of the late Paul Hazelton, a Saco native, Thornton alumnus and trustee, and professor at Bowdoin College.

Paul Hazelton House is a smoke free complex ideally located close to shopping, restaurants, a library, and churches — and features garden and patio areas, a computer lab, intergenerational programs with local schools, and in-home support services to allow aging in place.
  • Age criteria: Applicants must be 62 years of age or older and the head of the household.
  • Income criteria: Income limits apply. Income criteria vary by region and are recalculated annually.
