What our residents say about living here:

“Living here at Fay Garman House has afforded me the opportunity to still be active in the Peaks Island community that I love. Also, I’m able to have an independent, affordable, and comfortable lifestyle on a fixed income. I love the interaction with the other residents in our building and working in our gardens. I have said there are only two ways that I would voluntarily leave Fay Garman House — on a stretcher or in a pine box.”
— J.W., Fay Garman House resident

“Senior housing at the Fay Garman House defies any preconceived notion of what I had anticipated subsidized housing to be. My apartment is private, spacious, light, and modern, one of just ten apartments on a beautiful island in Maine. Living at the Garman House mirrors the gracious communal spirit that makes Peaks Island unique. My retirement is one of self-discovery instead of hardship. I am blessed to be part of this community and to have the peace of mind to enjoy it.”
