The Maine Coastal Regional Reentry Center (MCRRC) is a new 32-bed residential program. The center is designed to assist and support men who are in transition from incarceration to the community. Center residents will come from Hancock, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Waldo and Washington Counties. Upon completion of the program they will return with skills they need that have proven to promote long-term success. The focus of MCRRC is to offer residents educational opportunities, substance abuse and mental health treatment, vocational assistance and life skills. Program partners include the Maine Department of Corrections, Maine Board of Corrections, the Waldo County Sheriff's Office and Volunteers of America Northern New England.

The interior of the reentry center is designed to provide security while also offering an enviroment to facilitate the transitional process necessary for long-term success once men have left the program.

Your future success is our mission -- these are the first words seen as the men enter the program. Success is a partnership between the staff and residents with the clear goal of addressing issues that have impacted success in the past.
