Mental Health Professional Training and Development
Want to improve your professional behavioral health skills?
Volunteers of America Northern New England is committed to excellence in services to individuals with disabilities. Having a well- trained and highly motivated workforce requires ongoing professional training and growth opportunities. We offer regularly scheduled trainings that are required to maintain MHRT-1 certification as well as other opportunities for enhancing skills related to working with adult consumers with mental health disorders.
We are also in the process of expanding our resources for professional and leadership development.
All instructors hold certification or have specialized training, experience and expertise in the content they are teaching.

Mental Health Support Specialist (MHSS) 4-Days
2012 Dates: Feb. 6, 8, 13 and 15; July 23, 25, 30 and Aug. 1; Dec. 3, 5, 10 and 12

Hearing Voice Experiential Training
Have you ever wondered “what is it like to hear voices?” This class explores the topic through video presentation, lecture, and discussion. There is also an experiential component to the class that is not required but is highly recommended. Dates are the last day of each scheduled MHSS course.
