This was the pledge made by Ballington and Maud Booth when they founded Volunteers of America in 1896. Now, 114 years later, these words Volunteers of America as we continue our legacy of responding to the needs of at-risk youth, the elderly, men and women returning from prison, homeless individuals, veterans, people with disabilities and those recovering from addiction. Volunteers of America Northern New England first established services in the Northern New England area in 1921, serving children and families in need. Today, we provide affordable housing services, senior services, mental health services, community corrections and transitional services, juvenile services, veteran's services and community empowerment services.

Our organization is strengthened by the commitment of thousands of employees, volunteers and partners working toward real change.
