Volunteers offer help with Rent and Property Tax Rebate Forms
Volunteers with the The Midcoast Maine Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope (CA$H) coalition are offering free assistance with the Maine Residents Property Tax and Rent Refund Application, known as the “Circuit Breaker” program through October of this year and then again during the 2011 tax season.
United Way Annual Day of Caring... a Great Day for Bayview Heights and other Programs
PORTLAND, Me.— The United Way of Greater Portland kicked off its 15th annual Day of Caring with gatherings of more than 1,000 volunteers from across the Greater Portland region.
New Reentry Center Off to Inspiring Start
The new Maine Coastal Regional Reentry Center opened its doors in Belfast on January 12 and has already successfully “graduated” two former offenders back into lives in their Midcoast Maine communities. The 32-bed residential facility is designed to help men who are transitioning from incarceration by teaching them the skills they need that have proven to promote long-term success.
