For more than 100 years, Volunteers of America has partnered with individuals and organizations to serve those in need. Our goal is to transform lives and involve people in serving their community. Nationwide, Volunteers of America offers more than 100 different program services in approximately 300 communities that touch the lives of nearly 1.7 million people a year.

In Northern New England, we provide the following services:
- Providing safe, affordable housing and vital independence for our seniors
- Ensuring that we are always there for at-risk teens and adults who are determined to turn their lives around
- Making dreams come true for Maine children at our free summer camp program named Camp P.O.S.T.C.A.R.D. (Police Officers Striving To Create And Reinforce Dreams)
- Providing the personal support and basic essentials necessary for men and women to successfully transition from prison back into their families and communities, and
- Developing warm and loving homes for men and women with mental illness.
